Therapy – Prophylaxis / Avoidance

If we understand autism as a genetically determined (inherited) vulnerability and not as a disease, then it also becomes clear that there is no, cannot be, and will never be an autism diagnosis and/or therapy!

What can be diagnosed and treated, however, are the disorders of social interaction and their consequences that arise due to the vulnerability. In the early childhood field, child-centered approaches such as Mifne, DIR Floortime, SonRise, and in Germany, AuJA, are worth mentioning.

It also becomes clear that it is important and possible to prevent these disorders early on. This is achieved by creating a balance between stress and strain.

Since social interaction can only be learned through social interaction, and education is the social transmission of knowledge about the world, avoidance strategies are not an option! Online schools and other supposedly simple approaches are therefore leading us in the wrong direction.
