Autism, like light skin color, is innate, is passed on genetically, and, like light skin, represents a vulnerability.
And one can call this form of being “neurodiversity.” However, only as long as one doesn’t equate it with immutability, as adults with Asperger’s and high-functioning autism often do, profiting from the primary and secondary benefits of the disorder.
Telling normal parents of an autistic toddler not to get upset, that their child is simply neurodiverse, simply needs more tolerance, etc., won’t help them.
The problems of autistic people arise, if at all, from the failure to interact with the social and technological environment!
But this failure can be corrected; these people can be helped by restoring social interaction, reducing stress levels, etc.!
So there’s no longer any need to incompetently speculate about the supposed causes of autism as a disease, no longer any need to search for the reasons for the sharp increase in autism “diagnoses.”
Once and for all:
- Autism is NOT a disease, but a vulnerability.
- There is NO valid autism diagnosis, and there can be none.
- Autism CAN lead to a disruption of social interaction and thus of individual genesis – but it doesn’t have to.
- This disruption of social interaction and individual genesis can be diagnosed.
- But a disruption of social interaction and thus of individual genesis can also have entirely different causes.
Autism “diagnoses” and the associated dogma of insensitivity are primarily an expression of the unwillingness/psychopathy to take responsibility for the individual genesis of (autistic) children.
